Advanced –
These lessons are beginner lessons for adults. Our goal is to teach beginner riding skills and build confidence around horses. You do not need to have had previous riding experience to join. However because our current goal is to focus on beginners, stronger riders should expect to still ride with the class and follow the lesson the instructor is teaching.
Skills Learned
- Catch, groom, pick, and tack up their horse, western and English
- Lead their horse and pre-ride check
- Warm up the horse and themselves for the lesson
- Steering skills – reins aids and leg cues
- Trotting control – transitions and steering
- Body control – sitting, standing, and posting at walk and trot
- Patterns – gymkhana, obstacle course, arena patterns
- Trail riding
Cost - $40 per lesson, $240 for all 6 Fall lessons; $320 for all 8 Spring lessons
Age – Students aged 18+
